It’s been a month of freedom – no school and my family is out of town. Nobody is telling me what to do or hovering over me as if I need a hand to hold.

I really am ‘adulting.’

I go to the grocery store, meal planning for the week. Eating out gets too expensive, and I’ve learned to cook delicious enchiladas.

The dishes get washed before bed. I curl up with a good book and some tea, meanwhile my incense kisses each corner of the room.

Every morning, I wake to a crisp cup of coffee and ideas to implement throughout the day. I begin with my morning meditation in the sun. I prepare for my day, mentally, and consider all outcomes. After preparing myself to conquer the day, I head to the Soap Studio, www.handmadesoapclub.com.

Mind free and clear, I prepare to handcraft the most luxurious bars of soap.

I never use chemicals! Just as I keep my mind clear of negative energy – through my morning meditation – I must keep my soap clear of toxic ingredients!

Store-bought soap contains cancer-causing chemicals: Fragrance, Triclosan, and Sulfates.

My soaps are handmade with pure tallow, olive oil, shea butter, and more!

I use 100% essential oils to tingle your senses.

After a long day of soap making, I head home for a dip in the pool. My siblings aren’t around to give me a headache with their screaming…

It’s been much easier than I thought to begin my life. While my peers head to The Container Store for dorm decor and Urban Outfitters for Rush Week, I sit back and enjoy the show.

I feel like I’m 10 years ahead of my friends. Running my own business, my own source of income, looking to move out and having absolute freedom to do and feel whichever way I want is exactly where I am meant to be in life.

I decided not to attend college and focus much more on my business and personal development. It was the best decision I ever made.

I wish the best of luck to my peers, but building my life right out of high school is the best decision for me.
